Content Area Program Review Training
This training module is designed to help prepare you to serve on the Education Professional Standards Board's (EPSB's) Content Area Program Review Committee. This committee is responsible for providing content expertise in the review of certification programs submitted by school districts, private agencies, and the colleges/universities with educator preparation programs. In order to serve on this committee, you must be nominated by a state professional organization (e.g., Kentucky Middle School Association, Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Kentucky Association of School Superintendents) or a college/university, and you must complete this training.
If you accept the invitation to participate on this committee, you should expect to receive two to three programs twice a year for review and comment. You will be given approximately three weeks to review the programs.
The EPSB appreciates the professional expertise you bring to the program approval process. The willingness of volunteers like you aids in the preparation of quality educators for Kentucky’s P-12 students.
